When your material is the problem.

These are the four most common technical problems we're called in to solve. Each one resolves with documented findings and a clear path forward.

PROB-01
Wrong Material for the Application
Part is failing in the field. Cracking, warping, discoloration, or chemical attack. The design was correct - the resin selection wasn't. We run a material audit and propose an alternative with property justification.
→ RESOLUTION: Material Selection Report + Validated Alternative Spec
PROB-02
Processing Defects With No Root Cause
Sink marks, voids, gate blush, or short shots that persist despite machine adjustments. Often the issue is resin rheology, moisture content, or mold temperature - not the machine settings.
→ RESOLUTION: Processing Audit + Parameter Specification Document
PROB-03
Supplier Qualification Without Internal Expertise
Engineering team needs to qualify a new resin supplier but lacks the polymer expertise to evaluate datasheets, interpret test methods, or write incoming inspection criteria.
→ RESOLUTION: Supplier Technical Assessment + QC Specification
PROB-04
New Product With No Material Spec
Product is being designed but no one has defined the material requirements. Regulatory constraints, end-use environment, processing method, and cost ceiling all need to inform the resin selection before tooling is cut.
→ RESOLUTION: Material Requirements Document + Approved Resin Specification

Three ways to work with us.

Advisory if you need an answer fast. Embedded if you need sustained expertise. Project-scoped if the work has a defined start and end.

ADVISORY
Expert on Call
Access to our technical team for defined questions. Answerable in one or two calls or emails. Good for material selection questions, datasheet interpretation, or quick failure analysis review.
  • Written summary of findings
  • Grade recommendations with rationale
  • Follow-up question included
  • Typically resolved in 1–3 business days
EMBEDDED
Extended Engagement
Our engineers work as an extension of your team - on-site or remote - for the duration of a product development program, new line qualification, or facility ramp.
  • Dedicated engineer assigned
  • Weekly reporting cadence
  • Specification library built and maintained
  • Coordination with your procurement and QC teams
  • Minimum 8-week engagement
[ 03 ] WHAT YOU ALWAYS GET IN WRITING
Material Spec Document
Approved resin grade, supplier, and incoming test requirements in a format your QC team can use.
Findings Report
Root cause analysis, test data, and conclusions. Written, citable, signable.
Processing Parameters
Mold temperatures, barrel profile, drying conditions - validated and documented.
Alternatives Log
Alternate grades evaluated and why they were accepted or rejected. Defensible history for future reference.
Describe the problem.
We'll scope the engagement.

No retainer to start. First call is to understand the problem and determine if we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll say so.
